The Archuleta School District Board of Education held a special, closed-door executive session on Aug. 28 to negotiate a new contract with Linda Reed, who will take over this year as superintendent after the late-summer resignation of Mark DeVoti, who has accepted a position at the state level.
“As the new superintendent of Archuleta School District 50 Joint,” Reed explained in an exclusive interview with SUN staff, “I want to guide our district to become one of the top ten rural districts in the state of Colorado. I believe my extensive experience in three different states will serve me well as we work to build upon the successes and strengths of this community.”
