Hattie Mary Hurchalla, of Pagosa Springs, died Jan. 3 at Pine Ridge Extended Care Facility in Pagosa Springs surrounded by her family. She was 87.
Hattie was born in Casper, Wyo., on Nov. 16, 1927, to Albert and Rosamund McLellan. Hattie had three children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Her early interests included pursuing her private pilot’s license, the study of psychology and gardening. She was also a member of MENSA.
