Linda Morrison was selected to receive a free book from the Friends of the Library, a new monthly benefit this year for members. Morrison is a lifetime member and a longtime lover of fiction that takes you away to a different time, a different period or how people cope with different situations. Morrison chose one of her favorites, Kristin Hannah’s “The Four Winds,” even though she has read it. Morrison enjoys being in a book club because it encourages her to try new authors. She also likes audiobooks when walking or traveling.
After 30 years as co-owner of Pagosa Insurance, Morrison is enjoying retirement. Instead of seeking warmth and sunshine in the winter, she goes to Iowa to play with her grandson. Morrison has lived in Pagosa since 1983 and remembers when the current library was built. She brought her daughter to the library for storytime and other programs. Now she does the same for her grandson.
