Dear Editor:
I found myself completely disgusted after reading the last edition of the Preview. The ad on the last page titled “The Value of Suffering” proclaimed “I have smoked out the last remaining Philistines in Pagosa Springs and the entire county of Archuleta. They have been slain...” This is utterly racist, theist, and pretty clearly Christian Nationalist language that does not belong in print anywhere.
Shame on the author and shame on this paper, especially in light of the fact that the recent flood has forced so many of our friends and neighbors from their homes in this Town and County! How dare you?
P.S. as a native Coloradan and self-identified Philistine myself, I can tell you that no one has ever driven me out of anywhere, and they aren’t about to, either.
