Colorado State Patrol personnel are seeking information about a fatal hit and run that was reported early this morning, Friday, Oct. 17.
According to Trooper Jonathan Silver, a pedestrian was crossing U.S. 160 at Trails Boulevard (near mile marker 138) when he was struck and killed by an vehicle traveling east on the highway.
Both the victim of the hit and run and the vehicle remain unidentified at this time, Silver reported.
The incident was reported around 1 a.m. by passersby who saw the unidentified man's body in the roadway, Silver said.
The victim is described as being a white male about 5-foot-8, in his mid-20s, with sandy hair, brown eyes, a goatee and a thin mustache. At the time of the incident he was wearing dark gray sweatpants and a dark gray sweat top, Silver reported.
