The Archuleta School District Board of Education will discuss the two potential sites for the proposed preschool through eighth-grade school building at a pair of January meetings.
In December 2025, the board held two listening sessions to gather input from the community and ASD staff on the two potential sites for the proposed PK–8 school: district-owned land on Vista Boulevard or a location on the Pagosa Springs High School campus.
According to an announcement from the district, on Jan. 7, the board will discuss site-specific financials and each site's pros and cons at its regular meeting at 6 p.m. in the Pagosa Springs Middle School library.
Then, on Jan. 21, the announcement states, the board will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. at the middle school library to select a site.
