Andy Ray David Rivas was called home on Oct. 21, 2026. Andy was born on Sept. 23, 1975, to Marie Ann Valdez and Henry Carl Rivas.
Andy was truly a kindred spirit and was loved by all who met him. He made friends everywhere he went. He always had a smile or a joke ready. He was always willing to help if you asked him. Andy loved all sports, music and family. If you see him, he always had on his headphones listening to his music or following the games. His passion for sports kept him busy playing in rec sports, basketball and softball. He was so proud of his family teams and even had some championships under his belt. He loved his Lakers and Miami Dolphins. Win or lose, he was faithful to support them.
Andy was inspired by his mom and dad from a young age to play music. His endless time practicing on his guitar landed him a spot on stage with the family band Variety Xpress. He loved to entertain people, whether it was for joy or to serve God in church.
Andy enjoyed fishing and outdoors. You could find him out back fishing on the lake with his nephews trying to catch a big one. He enjoyed working on his lawn and sitting on the deck watching the kids play. He enjoyed family get-togethers and sharing memories around his firepit.
Andy’s biggest love was his family. His nieces and nephews and God-kids adored him. Andy took his role as husband, dad, son, brother and uncle very seriously. His love for them was unwavering. He made sure that they were safe and happy. He looked out for his wife, son and momma always. If everyone was OK, Andy was happy. His departure from this world will be felt for a lifetime to come. He was one of a kind.
“When the Golden sun is setting, and the earths path no more you trod. May your name in Gold be written in the autograph of God.” — unknown.
