Ralph M. Valadez passed on June 4. Ralph served in the Vietnam and Korean war, he worked for a farm implement manufacturer afterward and then was self-employed for many years. Ralph lived in Pagosa Springs with his wife for the last 23 years and was an active member of the community.

Betty Seibel, age 99, peacefully passed away on May 27, 2024. She was born in Meeker, Colo., on March 17, 1925, to Charles and Winnie Cox.

74th annual Red Ryder Roundup Rodeo set for July 4-6

The 74th annual Red Ryder Roundup Rodeo will be held July 4-6 at the Western Heritage Event Center arena and grounds. Tickets are available online at www.pagosarodeo.com and at the gate prior to the event. The cost is $20 per adult and $10 for children. Box seats are available and can be purchased by calling Diana at (970) 749-3492.

County awards $18,000 in funding for Cloman Park disc golf project
