More than a dozen women from the community stand with the Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners after the board proclaimed March 2026 as Women’s History Month in Archuleta County during its regular meeting on March 3. According to the proclamation, Congress officially designated March as Women’s History Month in 1987, and goes on to state, “women in Archuleta County continue to serve with distinction in government, nonprofit organizations, local businesses, first response agencies, schools, and community initiatives.”
