Many Pagosans saw the memorial honoring slain Christian conservative activist Charlie Kirk. And, while most approved of Kirk’s Christian beliefs being presented, there were probably many that weren’t sure if they fit into what was being said.
I remember that uncertainty when I was but 19 years of age. I liked what I heard, but I wasn’t sure if I was or was not a Christian. I had a Bible and I went to church sometimes, but now I had questions; my mind began to swirl with doubts.
The Women’s Countywide Bible Study, here in Pagosa, is just for you. It is always free; there are no books or syllabuses to buy. All that is needed are hearts longing to know, understand and ask honest questions without fear or trepidation.
The Bible study isn’t a lecture, but a hearty group of laughing women enjoying a good time for themselves, even sometimes sharing their own experiences.
So, after seeing or hearing about the Kirk memorial, why not come to this Bible discussion class? Learn more about your faith walk. What does it mean to be a Christian? Is it going to church? What is Christian dedication? What am I expected to do and be? Questions or thoughts like these and more will be addressed in a comfy-causal group setting.
The study is guided by Roberta (‘Bert) Counsell, an ordained women’s minister/pastor, and a Pagosa Springs resident of 19 years.
The study is located in the fellowship hall at Grace in Pagosa. The address is 1044 Park Ave. The study opens with prayer at 10 a.m. every Tuesday morning.
Come, introduce yourself to Counsell and the other ladies.
