It’s hard to believe WomenConnect only began last February. In one year, this community has grown into something truly remarkable.
What started as a simple vision — to create opportunities where women could share their passions and skills — has blossomed into a vibrant network of 350 women who have discovered that one of our greatest resources is each other.
Whether you taught a workshop, organized a gathering or showed up to participate, you are the spirit of this group. WomenConnect has proven that when we take the time to share what we know and learn from one another, we create something far more valuable than any single event or class — we build lasting friendships and circles of support.
This past year, we’ve had 75 creative workshops in art, pottery and journal making to wellness sessions, professional skills training and pure social fun. Our members have stepped up to teach, lead and inspire.
The beauty of WomenConnect lies in its cooperative spirit — a community built by women, for women. Through the Facebook page, Women’s Wednesday emails and gatherings throughout the year, members have shared their “wish lists” of skills they want to learn and stepped forward to offer their own expertise and passions.
We’ve learned that sharing our talents isn’t just about passing time — it’s about cultivating connection.
As we pause to celebrate this milestone, we’re also looking ahead with intention. WomenConnect invites new and seasoned members to help kick off our second year by sharing your skills and passions, hosting workshops or simple gatherings. Let’s continue the success of WomenConnect. Our foundation is strong, and the possibilities are endless.
