Tomorrow night, Friday, Dec. 12, the Pagosa Springs Community Choir’s Christmas concert series begins in the Pagosa Springs High School auditorium.
You have three opportunities to see the choir perform: Friday, Dec. 12, and Saturday Dec. 13, at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 14, at 4 p.m.
Admission to our concerts is free, though donations are accepted with gratitude and help the choir continue to operate year after year and help us fund our vocal scholarships.
This year the choir is pleased to announce that we have three vocal scholarship recipients. Our scholarship recipients are Reagan Vanatta, Harison Jacobs and Karlie Rose. Each recipient will receive $500 toward private vocal lessons.
The community choir has been providing these scholarships for many years to help foster the talents of local student vocalists by providing private voice lessons.
Congratulations to our three 2025 scholarship recipients.
A wonderful feature of our community choir concerts is our Jazz Choir. The jazz choir is a small vocal ensemble within the choir which specializes in singing jazz arrangements. As its name suggests, its music is punctuated with snappy rhythms and jazz harmony that will make you sit up and take notice as you listen to their renditions of “Here Comes Santa Claus” and “Jingle Bells.” We are certain you will enjoy these two fun Christmas songs presented in jazz style.
More surprises await you at our cherished Christmas choral concerts. Please don’t miss us.
We look forward to singing for you and bringing joy to your Christmas season.
