In a letter shared with The SUN Tuesday, Archuleta County Sheriff Rich Valdez announced that he will not be running for re-election in the 2022 general election.
“It has been the privilege of my lifetime to be your Sheriff for eight years, which will officially end in January of 2023,” Valdez’s letter states.
