The U.S. 160 reconstruction project has several operations happening this week that will result in significant traffic impacts.
• 2nd and 5th streets: Asphalt paving will require one-lane, alternating traffic on both 2nd Street and 5th Street. Delays should be expected, and alternate routes around this work are encouraged. The work will begin this morning, Wednesday, Oct. 1, and last all day.
• U.S. 160: Striping operations will refresh crosswalks and stop bars at traffic signals along U.S. 160 beginning today, Wednesday, Oct. 1, and continuing through Friday, Oct. 3. Traffic will be down to one lane on U.S. 160 to accommodate the striping operation, and motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly for potential delays.
