Week of Sept. 21-26
Work activity
• The 7th Street intersection: Utility work is complete at the 7th Street intersection. Crews are wrapping up mainline paving of U.S. 160, sidewalk, curb and gutter installation. Please note that pedestrians and vehicles should utilize 5th Street and Lewis and 8th Street as alternatives to cross U.S. 160.
• Harman Park and Piedra Road: Work is underway at this intersection of U.S. 160. Working hours will be intermittent day and night, so motorists should plan for potential delays Monday through Saturday. Please allow extra time to get through the work zone.
• Beginning in October, a Town of Pagosa Springs project, in collaboration with the U.S. 160 project, will begin at 1st Street. Traffic will be one-lane alternating in each direction 24/7 until the work is completed. This operation is anticipated to take about two weeks. More information will be provided closer to the project start time.
• Pedestrian safety: Pedestrian crosswalks are open at 2nd, 3rd, 4th and Lewis streets. Our team continues to see pedestrians not practicing good safety measures, jumping barricades and crossing U.S. 160. Our work zone is extremely active in several locations, and we want to keep everyone safe.
