Town provides parks closure update

Posted

The Town of Pagosa Springs Parks Department continues to assess conditions and identify safe locations where public parks and trails can be reopened following recent flooding. Cleanup crews are actively working to remove debris and evaluate damage in affected areas.

At this time, the following locations within the parks and trails system will remain closed for public safety:

• East End River Center Park and Riverwalk.

• Cotton’s Hole Park and Riverwalk.

• West Riverwalk (after the Apache bridge).

• Rock Ridge Trail.

It is imperative that these areas remain closed until cleanup operations and safety assessments are fully completed. The town is requesting voluntary compliance with all posted closures and asks the public to respect these temporary restrictions. The Town of Pagosa Springs appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation and is working diligently to reopen all parks and trails as soon as it is safe to do so.
