The Pagosa Springs Sanitation General Improvement District (PSSGID) is facing a critical funding shortage. To fix aging wastewater infrastructure, the Town Council took the first step in securing additional funding. On Tuesday, August 5, the Council approved Ordinance 1014 on first reading, calling for a coordinated election in November and setting the ballot language for a proposed 1% sales tax increase. A second reading of the ordinance is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19.
