Artists of Pagosa Springs are excited to announce the return of the Artists Studio Tour.
Pagosa is home to a vast array of artistic talent, and these talented artists are opening their studios to the public for one weekend only.
An open studio tour is an event where the public is invited into the workspace where art is created, allowing them to see the process in person, ask questions and possibly purchase art directly from the artist.
Studios will be open for three days — Friday, Aug. 21, through Sunday, Aug. 23 — allowing visitors the opportunity to tour as many as possible.
This year’s lineup of artists in 25 locations in the Pagosa Springs area includes sculptors, jewelry makers, painters, fiber and ceramic artists, custom wood furniture builders, and more.
An opening reception at The Springs Resort will take place on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. It will feature live music as well as the tour artists there to introduce themselves and their art form. This event and the tour are free and open to the public.
