Join the Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS), Firewise of Southwest Colorado, Mountain Studies Institute, San Juan Headwaters Forest Health Partnership, the Town of Pagosa Springs and the USFS San Juan National Forest for a tour of the work done and a barbecue on Reservoir Hill Saturday, May 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The noise of equipment and the movement of trucks on Reservoir Hill has settled down now that forest improvement activities on the property have concluded. The removal of small-diameter trees from 55 acres of Reservoir Hill enhanced overall forest health, restoring the forest to a more natural condition, lowering wildfire hazard and allowing trees to become more resistant to insects and diseases.
