Tickets available for April 29 Building Business Excellence Forum

The Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce is excited and proud to bring the first Building Business Excellence Forum to Pagosa Springs on April 29, 2025 at the Pagosa Lakes Property Owners Association Clubhouse.

This half-day business forum, beginning at 1 p.m., will be a mix of inspiring speakers, business professionals conducting informative breakout sessions and a networking reception to round out the day.

The Chamber has been fielding a lot of questions and consultations with our business community wanting more information on running, starting or developing their businesses and themselves. Based on the general theme of questions we have been receiving and inquiring of other business resources, a menu of topics was developed.

The Chamber will host noted author and inspirational speaker Dale Wilsher to the keynote podium. “Finding Success Through Your Purpose” will be Wilsher’s keynote.

With more than 71 percent of business owners feeling they need to be all things to all people, how do you take the best direction for your business? Wilsher will show you how you can capitalize on your authentic strengths, align your business with your core values and tap into full potential by thinking with a purpose-driven mindset.

You will determine your true strengths and eliminate personality masks, learn how to use your passion to find motivation and strategic direction, and how to tap your potential.

The day will continue with four breakout sessions, or two sets of two sessions, designed to help you streamline your business efforts, work on your financial strategies and be a stronger you.

Breakout speakers will be Terryl Peterson, business consultant and owner of CFO Services; Sherry Waner, chief development officer with 1st Southwest Bank; and Wilsher, author of “Your Authentic Personality.”

There will also be a breakout session with a panel of presenters highlighting time- and cost-saving measures in the digital world focusing on accounting, scheduling, marketing and social media.

This forum will be fast-paced, information-packed and high-energy.

After you gain a lot of workable knowledge, take time to decompress and network with fellow business leaders at the end of the day. Oftentimes, these networking sessions can be the most important part of your day, allowing you to make new contacts, reconnect with old ones, or conduct business in a relaxed setting.

Tickets are now on sale for this event. They are $35 for Chamber members and $45 for nonmembers. This includes all the topic sessions, breakout snacks and a drink ticket for the reception. There will be more information in the upcoming weeks about this conference, but you can get your tickets now.

This forum is offered at an extremely reasonable price to encourage businesses to send leaders in their industry or coax business owners to get out and work on you and your business.

For those trying to start a business, this conference is meant for you, too, both in price and content.

To register for the event, visit the Chamber website at www.pagosachamber.com and click on the Building Business Excellence graphic under Chamber and Community News.

You don’t have to travel to Durango or Ignacio to attend a high-quality, comprehensive business forum. That high-caliber forum is coming to you.

Should you have any questions, please contact the Chamber at (970) 264-2360. Watch for more details in the weeks to come.
