Thingamajig Theatre Company is proud to announce its exciting summer lineup with three productions set to open in rapid succession.
Beginning May 30, audiences can expect a season full of laughter, drama, music and magic — all on the beautiful stage of the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts.
The summer will open with “Something Rotten!” on May 30, a hilarious and high-energy musical comedy that asks what happens when Shakespeare gets some competition from the world’s first musical. This side-splitting crowd-pleaser sets the tone for a season packed with bold creativity.
On June 13, Thingamajig will presents “The Wild Party,” a darkly intoxicating jazz-age musical full of passion. Please note: “The Wild Party” contains mature themes and content suitable for adults 18 years and older.
The summer continues with “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder,” opening June 27 — a witty, fast-paced farce following a charming young man determined to eliminate eight relatives (with hilarious results) in his quest for a family fortune.
In a heartfelt effort to cultivate a love for the performing arts in the next generation, Thingamajig Theatre is offering free admission to all dress rehearsals for teens.
This initiative provides a unique opportunity for young people to experience professional theater firsthand and be inspired by the magic of live performance. Teens should mark their calendars to watch each of these spectacular free dress rehearsals starting with “Something Rotten!” on May 29, “The Wild Party” on June 12 and “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” on June 26, all at 7 p.m.
