The Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts (PSCA) is seeing continued success as “The Odd Couple (Female Version)” enters its second weekend of performances.
The show, which opened to packed houses last weekend, has been well received by audiences enjoying Neil Simon’s classic comedy with a fresh perspective.
Under the direction of Dennis Elkins, the cast has brought a new energy and humor to the production, capturing the essence of the mismatched roommates, Olive Madison and Florence Unger. Their contrasting personalities lead to plenty of comedic moments, keeping audiences entertained throughout the show.
“The response has been really positive,” said Laura Moore, PSCA executive director. “We knew this show would resonate with people, but it’s been great to see the enthusiasm from all walks of the community.”
Many theatergoers have praised the cast’s performances, particularly Karisa Bruin as Florence and Ivy King as Olive. The supporting cast, including the Trivial Pursuit group and the Costazuela brothers, adds to the bombastic humor and energy of the production.
Performances continue this weekend at PSCA, with showtimes on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are available online at pagosacenter.org or at the PSCA box office by calling (970) 731-SHOW (7469).
