National Outdoor Leadership School participant returns from Sweden

As the first overseas NOLS participant, Garcia spent two weeks sea kayaking and two weeks backpacking and mountaineering during her trip abroad. She was also able to experience some of the local culture — a treat rarely afforded to students on NOLS trips, which is usually focused on wilderness survival in the backcountry.
