Storms to clear up for the weekend, freezing overnight temps expected

Pagosa Country is expected to move into a drier pattern in the coming days following the expiration of a flood advisory.

As of press time Wednesday, a flood advisory for Pagosa Springs issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) remained in effect, with the advisory lasting until noon today, Thursday, Oct. 16, with rain and storms clearing up as the weekend approaches.

According to the NWS, freezing overnight lows are expected throughout the weekend.

The high in Pagosa Springs today, Thursday, Oct. 16, is forecast at 58 degrees with mostly sunny skies, followed by a mostly clear night with a low of 24 degrees.

For Friday, Oct. 17, the high is forecast at 58 degrees with sunny skies and a low of 24 degrees at night with mostly clear skies.

For Saturday, Oct. 18, the high is forecast at 62 degrees with an overnight low of 28 degrees and clear skies.

The high for Sunday, Oct. 19, is forecast at 66 degrees with sunny skies and an overnight low of around 30 degrees with mostly clear skies.

The extended forecast shows similar conditions for the early part of next week.
