St. Patrick’s Day Festival set for March 16

Posted

The world’s shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade returns to Pagosa Springs on Saturday morning, March 16, at 11:15 a.m., at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church.

Featuring the emerald decorated float with green-clad Pagosa children, majorettes, bagpipers, Irish dancers and first-responder vehicles, this annual march signals spring is on its way. Even leashed dogs and their owners are encouraged to participate in the parade.

Twenty-four local vendors will be on-site in the St. Patrick’s parking lot, along with free hot dogs, plus Irish coffee and beer for sale.

Plenty of parking will be available at the adjacent hospital and John Paul II Church lots, and attendees are welcome to contribute to the St. Patrick’s food bank with donations of canned fruit and vegetables, peanut butter, or mac and cheese.

With activities for kids and adults alike, this festival promises to be a “shamrocking” good time.
