Special to The PREVIEW
On Wednesday, Jan. 17, Wolf Creek will host its annual United Way Ski Day.
Lift tickets are just $59 and the ski area generously donates $11 from each ticket sold to United Way who, in turn, allocates the proceeds to many Archuleta County nonprofits.
This is one of United Way’s major fundraisers, so we urge you to come on up, enjoy a great day on the slopes and help our community at the same time.
All proceeds remain in Archuleta County, and those charities benefiting are Axis Health System, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado, Community Connections, Pagosa Outreach Connection, Rise Above Violence (formerly Archuleta County Victim Assistance Program), Seeds of Learning and Tri-County Head Start.
United Way will also be offering its CD, “Play for the Way-Music of Pagosa,” so use your lift ticket savings to buy this great CD for $12 featuring 19 original songs by 15 of our very talented local artists. All proceeds from these sales also go to our local charities. Play for the day and play for the Way.
