Last Saturday, Aug. 17, six Pagosa Springs stars and their coaches took the stage to dance for Seeds of Learning’s fundraiser, Dancing with the Pagosa Stars (DWTPS).
All the costumes have been put away and the final votes tallied, and we are blown away by the results.
Through local community support, ticket sales, and votes from friends and family from around the country, DWTPS successfully raised more than $240,000 to provide quality and affordable early childhood education to our neighbors throughout Pagosa.
The families, teachers, administration and Seeds Board of Directors are filled with gratitude for this amazing outpouring of support for Pagosa’s future in our children.
With more than 200 guests, dozens of volunteers, stars, coaches, committee members, sponsors and production crew, Saturday night illustrated the amazing support Seeds receives from this community.
With your help, Seeds continues providing high quality early childhood education at an affordable cost to families throughout Archuleta County.
Now, for those who haven’t already heard, Saturday night’s winners were:
• Mirror Ball Trophy Winner: Janna Lilly with coach Jared Rogers.
• Best Male Dancer: Ramon Badell and coach Sharina Ramsey-Adams.
• Best Female Dancer: Lilly and Rogers.
• Best Showmanship: Roy Tinguely and coach Ashley Butcher.
• Most Original Performance: MorgAnne Foster and coach Dale Scrivener.
• Vogue Award (Best Costume): Veronica Medina and coach Gus Palma.
• Red Hot Performance: Star Bo DePena and coach Jamie Anderson.
This year’s success would not have been possible without the amazing dance production team, our incredible stars and coaches, volunteers, and support from the Pagosa community. Seeds of Learning would like to thank everyone who attended and voted for your favorite Pagosa dancing duo this year.
