Curtains Up Pagosa will present three evening and one afternoon performance of “School of Rock, the Musical” on the Pagosa Springs High School stage at 7 p.m. on June 25, June 26 and June 27, with a matinee at 2 p.m. on June 27.
Based on the movie by the same name, this show will feature music by renowned musical composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, with the book written by Julian Fellowes, of Downton Abbey fame.
The essence of the plot follows Dewey Finn, a failed rocker who poses as a substitute teacher at a prep school and transforms his students into a rock band to win a Battle of the Bands.
The School of Rock cast is ready to present a high-energy musical performance next week, featuring experienced Pagosa actors and musicians, accompanied by our teen “Big Rockers”and younger “Little Rockers,” several of whom are making their Curtains Up Pagosa debut.
