Beginning in January, the Archuleta School District Board of Education (BoE) will meet on a different day — the first Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. — for its regular meetings.
The board previously met the second Tuesday of the month, but began discussing changing that schedule at its November meeting in order to accommodate the schedules of BoE members who also coach within the district.
Following that discussion in November, the matter was brought forward to the board for consideration as a policy change at its Dec. 9 meeting, with the policy being unanimously amended.
The change means the board’s first 2026 meeting will take place at 6 p.m. on Jan. 7, 2026, in the Pagosa Springs Middle School library.
