Special to The PREVIEW
The annual Humane Society Chocolate Auction is just around the corner.
This year’s auction will be held Saturday, March 22, at the Pagosa Youth Center, which will only be accessible through the Humane Society Thrift Store. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with socializing and viewing of the decadent chocolate creations that will be up for bid.
Enjoy a delicious, seated lasagna dinner, followed by dessert and the auction. A cash bar featuring microbrew beer, a wine selection and soft drinks will be available all evening. Auctioneer Jake Montroy will preside over the live auction portion of the event.
Tickets are only $10 in advance and can be purchased at the Humane Society Thrift Store, the Humane Society animal shelter, and at Higher Grounds Coffee. Seating is limited, so buy your tickets early. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door for $15 each.
The absolutely incredible chocolate desserts, some truly works of art, are all donated by local caterers, bakers, candy stores, chefs and restaurants, and will be auctioned to raise funds to help with the daily operating costs of the community’s only animal shelter. The shelter houses and finds homes for the lost, abandoned and homeless dogs and cats of Archuleta County, which is truly a benefit for the entire community.
The Chocolate Auction is a wonderful way to have a fun-filled evening and support the shelter animals at the same time.
Please plan to attend an enjoyable night out on the town at the Humane Society Chocolate Auction dinner and fundraiser on Saturday, March 22, at the Pagosa Springs Youth Center.
