Sandbags and sand are now available for pickup at the Archuleta County Road and Bridge Department, located at 1122 U.S. 84.
Due to crews responding to flood issues in the field, residents will need to fill sandbags themselves.
"Please bring your own shovels and be prepared to load your own vehicles," the county states in an update.
On Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a flood watch that includes the San Juan River Basin and Southwest San Juan Mountains.
