On Oct. 4, Runway for Rise will offer an evening filled with fashion, fun and fundraising. This unique event invites attendees to dress to impress and support a vital cause, all while enjoying a show of recycled fashion creations.
We are introducing another two teams that are joining the runway to make a difference.
Team Queens of Change is highlighting its commitment to the cause.
“Through community education and awareness, we feel that together we can create a future where safety and respect are the norm and not the exception,” the team members shared.
Joining them is Team HazelSky Ranch, a group of community-minded women eager to contribute.
“We want to help Rise to assist those in our community that need it most. We wanted to participate last year — this year is our year to contribute to this organization,” they expressed, underscoring their dedication to supporting those in need.
The evening promises not only a showcase of creativity, but also an opportunity for audience participation. Judges will mingle with the crowd to select winners for three awards: Mountain Glam, Head and Toe, and Straight from Paris. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the “recycle” theme by donning outfits that include that hat, gown or shoes you never wear.
Adding to the excitement is the Runway Wine Pull, where guests can purchase a bottle of wine for $50, with wine values ranging from $35 to $190. From broad and generous pinot noirs to bright and crisp chardonnays, and opulent cabernet sauvignons, you’ll leave with a great bottle to enjoy.
The highlight of the night will be the parade of 10 models, each flaunting outfits crafted from soda can tabs and wine corks. You don’t have to be in attendance to support your favorite teams. Donate now or on the night of the event to help your favorite team raise the most money and win the coveted Prada Award.
The true winners, however, are the domestic and sexual violence survivors who will benefit from the funds raised.
Donations will support Rise Above Violence’s critical programs, including emergency hotel stays, the Transitional Housing Program and rental assistance for up to six months. Additionally, funds will aid in navigating the legal system, providing protection order assistance and legal representation to ensure the safety of survivors and their children.
Tickets for this unforgettable evening are still available, with four tiers of pricing based on proximity to the runway. For more information or to cast your vote for your favorite team, visit www.riseaboveviolence.org.
Don’t miss this chance to be part of a night where fashion meets philanthropy and every dollar makes a difference.
