Roxanna Wise, 61, of Pagosa Springs, Colo., passed away April 11 at the UC Health Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs surrounded by friends.
Roxanna is survived by her nieces, Leanna Rutka and Regina Rutka, of Denver; also, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille; father, Stanley; and brothers Robert (Bob), Randall (Randy) and Richard (Rick).
Roxanna was born Jan. 15, 1961, in Denver, Colo., the daughter of Stanley and Lucille (Goodin) Rutka. She grew up and went to school in Denver, graduating from North High School in Denver, where she spent most of her life. Roxanna retired to Pagosa Springs in 2018.
Roxanna was employed as a phlebotomist at Beth Israel Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital and Rose Hospital; in her time, she made many friends, she was an outgoing person who held many skilled jobs and enjoyed her life to the fullest. Roxanna was excellent in art and especially talented at making and designing jewelry. She enjoyed wildlife and the outdoors. Roxanna was an avid reader and had eclectic tastes in books, music and art.
A memorial is planned for July in Denver.
