At its Sept. 11 meeting, the Rotary Club of Pagosa Springs proudly distributed $15,000 to three vital community organizations.
The Ruby M. Sisson Memorial Library, Aspen House and Wings Early Childhood Center each received $5,000 as part of Rotary’s three-year commitment, totaling $45,000 in support.
These gifts reflect Rotary’s long-standing dedication to fostering education, opportunity and care within our community. Thanks to the generosity of donors and community partners, Rotary can continue making investments that truly change lives.
Rotary International President Francesco Arezzo’s 2025-2026 theme, “Unite for Good,” emphasizes the power of unity to create positive change in a divided world.
The three projects supported this year highlight the importance of education, compassion and care — aligning with Arezzo’s vision of sustainable, community-based projects and echoing our district’s call for Rotarians to amplify impact and connect resources:
• Ruby M. Sisson Memorial Library Expansion — addressing the community’s need for more space and resources to support lifelong learning.
• Wings Early Childhood Center — ensuring access to high-quality child care while fostering exploration, creativity and discovery.
• Aspen House — creating a forever home in Pagosa Springs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing stability, dignity and supportive services that encourage independence.
Each of these organizations addresses critical community needs and exemplifies Rotary’s motto: “Service Above Self.”
