Registration is now open for kids to join the Whatchamawhozits Children’s Theater Improv Class.
This improv class — taught by Thingmajig Educational Director Laura Moore — is a super fun and creative class filled with a combination of improv games and acting for the stage.
Improv is not only fun, but is extremely beneficial for developing more complex characters in scripts, learning to create on the fly, hone public speaking abilities and strengthen acting choices. Improv skills help the actor with listening, quick thinking, concentration skills and so much more.
The class runs every Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. from Feb. 7 to April 18 (no class March 28) with a showcase on April 25 at 6 p.m.
Kids are welcome to come snack and relax after school between 1:30 and 2 p.m. before the class starts. School bus routes drop off within a short walking distance to the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts.
The class is open to kids 8-14 years old. Space is extremely limited. Registration links can be found at www.pagosacenter.org.
