Several members of the local Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club in Pagosa Springs gathered at the home of Laurie Williams on Aug. 20 for a delightful summer visit and casual lunch. Pi Beta Phi was founded in 1867 at Monmouth College in Illinois, one of the first women’s sororities in the country. Today there are 129 Pi Phi chapters at universities in the U.S. and Canada, and 195 alumnae clubs around the world.
