The Pagosa Area Water and Sanitation District (PAWSD) will hold a mail-ballot election for three open seats on its board on May 6, with ballots set to hit mailboxes of registered electors soon.
Five candidates, including two current board members, are running for the three open seats.

Additionally, the notice indicates that the walk-in polling and place of deposit for mail-in ballots will be the offices of Public Alliance LLC, the designated election official PAWSD contracted for the election.
That office is located at 405 Urban St., Suite 310 in Lakewood, according to the notice, and will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to receive ballots.
It adds that the phone number for the designated election official is (720) 213-6621.
The district will also offer a walk-in polling place at its administrative offices at 100 Lyn Ave. in Pagosa Springs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 6, the notice states.
According to the notice, people who reside within the district boundaries and those who own taxable real or personal property within the district are eligible to vote.
In addition, it states that people whose spouse or civil union partner own taxable real or personal property within the district can also vote.
