The Pagosa Area Water and Sanitation District (PAWSD) Board of Directors approved an employment agreement with its incoming district manager, Andrew Connor, at its Nov. 13 meeting.
Connor previously served as the operations manager for PAWSD.
Prior to voting on the agreement, PAWSD board member Glenn Walsh noted that the agreement should be altered to read that the district would agree to pay Connor an annual salary of $145,000 instead of stating that the district would pay Connor $145,000 at the beginning of the month.
The board then unanimously voted to approve the agreement with the suggested change.
“This is a very fair contract for your skill set and your experience,” Walsh said.
“I want to be able to prove to the board that I can do what I say I can do,” Connor said. “We still have plenty of years left.”
