Pagosa Unitarian Universalist Fellowship announces July schedule

Posted

The Sunday services and programs at the Pagosa Unitarian Universalist (UU) Fellowship continue to enliven members and friends.

We look for ways to live our values in the world through open minds, loving hearts and helping hands. In a search for “open minds, loving hearts and helping hands,” many references to it were found, and know that it is used in the religious exploration classes in many UU congregations. As we plan for future services that meet the moment, we will embrace being the community that gathers with “open minds, loving hearts and helping hands.”

Our July schedule is shaping up to have a wide variety of subjects and engagement with fellow UUs in the Four Corners region.

• July 5: Sunday service, 10:30 a.m. — “Let’s Meet the Moment.”

The 2026 General Assembly of the UU Association began with a 30-minute ingathering service, inviting all participants into sacred community before the first general session. Through words, music and ritual, this shared worship time grounds us in the theme “Meet the Moment: Together Everywhere,” and prepares our hearts and spirits for the work ahead. We will view this service as part of our connection to the wider UU movement.

• July 12: 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship at the 4-Corner UU Retreat at Pine Song, near Lake Vallecito, Bayfield, hosted by the UU Fellowship of Durango —“Taking the Water with Us.”

There will be no service at the Fellowship on July 12.

• July 19: Sunday service, 10:30 a.m. — Story Sunday, on the theme of acceptance.

Come for a wisdom story told by our resident storyteller, Libby Krause.

• July 26: Action Sunday.

Meeting the moment can mean so many things, and this week we will continue our action using the act of writing postcards, giving rise to our voices.

We invite all to join us most Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. You can find us at the Greenbriar Plaza, 301 N. Pagosa Blvd. Unit B-15, on the north side facing Pagosa Peak. We also offer Zoom services the first and third Sundays of the month. Find our current newsletter at PagosaUU.org for the link to join on Zoom and further information.

Along with the Fellowship’s programming, we host a variety of community endeavors to build community and spiritual growth.

The Tara Meditation Group andDharma Practice is held Sundays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Qi Gong Practice takes place Mondays at 1 p.m.

The Wise and Wakeful Circle meets the second and fourth Saturdays at 10 a.m.
