Pagosa Springs Community Choir concerts set for Dec. 13-15

Posted

The time is coming up for the Pagosa Springs Community Choir Christmas Concert.

Performances are Friday, Dec. 13, and Saturday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 15, at 4 p.m. in the Pagosa Springs High School auditorium.

We have more than 70 choir members who have faithfully been learning and practicing music since September. The music is very challenging thanks to our much loved and award-winning directors, Dan and Venita Burch. Because the music is challenging, the results are phenomenal.

As the choir members encircle the auditorium singing favorite songs for the season, together we have created the beautiful sound of Christmas music that creates joy in surround sound.

If you have not seen this concert before, get ready for the bubbling happiness that comes from an immersion of beautiful music. If you have seen this performance before, then you understand how this Christmas concert kicks off the holiday season with excitement and expectation for the following month of celebration of the season.

Added in will be familiar tunes that will have you tapping your feet (“Go, Tell it on the Mountain”) and waves of sound that reflect angels singing (“Angels we have Heard on High”) and even a sing-along that everyone enjoys (“Hallelujah Chorus”).

Please join us in this musical experience to start the celebration of peace on earth and good will to men in the spirit of Christmas.

The definition of joy is a feeling of great pleasure and happiness. Entertaining, yes. Exceedingly happy, yes. Joyful, absolutely. We unite to proclaim joy to the world.

We look forward to welcoming you in the Pagosa Springs High School auditorium on Friday, Dec. 13, and Saturday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m., and again on Sunday, Dec. 15, at 4 p.m.

Admission is free. Donations are tax-deductible and greatly appreciated.
