Pagosa Rangers wrap up strong season

Posted

The Pagosa Rangers youth soccer program closed out another strong season this spring, with more than 75 athletes competing across multiple age groups. Players represented Pagosa Springs at tournaments in Durango and Grand Junction, capping off a season focused on skill development, teamwork and positive growth, both on and off the field.

The club’s focus remains on developing strong technical skills, collaboration and sportsmanship. While competition is part of the journey, the emphasis stays on player development and a supportive team culture.

This season also marked the debut of a U12 girls’ team, a big step toward expanding opportunities for female athletes in the program. Looking ahead, the club hopes to field both U12 and U15 girls teams for next season.

Due to high interest and full rosters this past year, the club will be capping team sizes next year.

Families are encouraged to register early to secure a spot. Registration for the 2025-2026 season opens June 15 and closes July 15, or sooner if teams fill up.

The club is accepting players born between 2007 and 2017. Skill assessments will be held in August, with the season starting shortly after.

Rangers recruiting coaches

Pagosa Youth Soccer is also on the lookout for passionate, experienced coaches to help lead the next generation of Rangers.

As a traveling, competitive club, we’re looking for individuals who bring strong soccer knowledge, leadership skills and a genuine commitment to player development. Coaching youth ages 8-15 is a rewarding way to support young athletes and help them grow both on and off the field.

To apply, send a letter of intent or resume to doc@pagosayouthsoccer.org.

The Rangers are proud of the progress made this season and excited for what’s ahead as the program continues to grow.
