The Pagosa Peak Genealogical Society will hold its next monthly meeting on Saturday, Oct. 5.
The meeting will be held at the Community United Methodist Church at 434 Lewis St. and will begin at 10 a.m. We will begin with a short business meeting where you can learn about the upcoming activities of our society and the topics of future programs.
Following the business meeting, the program will be a video by Thomas MacEntee entitled “AI and Genealogy: Using AI to Get Genealogy Research Help.”
While artificial intelligence won’t help you find specific records for genealogical research, AI can summarize the record sets you should consult for your research. Learn how to construct effective prompts and queries to return the best information on a record set. This video also includes a template to be used for AI source citation.
This will be an in-person meeting only, so please come join us as we explore this fascinating aspect of genealogical research.
