The Pagosa Peak Genealogical Society (PPGS) will hold its regular monthly meeting this Saturday, Aug. 8.
We will meet at 10 a.m. at the Archuleta County CSU Extension Office at 344 U.S. 84. We will be getting a guided tour of the historic Gomez Mercantile store. The historic building was moved from Pagosa Junction to the Archuleta County Fairgrounds.
There will be no regular business meeting this month.
The genealogical society meets on the first Saturday of each month (this month’s meeting was changed to accommodate the county fair). It hosts guest speakers on a wide range of topics relating to genealogy and history, including the rich history of our area.
