The Pagosa Peak Genealogical Society (PPGS) will host a potluck gathering on Dec. 6 for our members and friends.
We will meet from 10 a.m. to noon at the Community United Methodist Church, 434 Lewis St., in the fellowship hall.
There will be a short business meeting followed by appetizers, coffee, tea and dessert.
The genealogical society meets on the first Saturday of each month. It hosts guest speakers on a wide range of topics relating to genealogy, including the rich history of our local area. We also offer workshops for those who have hit brick walls in their research of family members.
PPGS is a member of the Colorado Council of Genealogical Societies, where it has access to professional speakers from across the state.
The society has partnered with the Town of Pagosa Springs in its ongoing efforts to research and improve our local cemeteries.
Everyone is invited, and all are encouraged to attend our potluck to meet our members and learn more about our group.
