Pagosa Springs will kick-off its 2024 season of Operation Christmas Child at Grace in Pagosa, 1044 Park Ave., at 2 p.m. on Sept. 8.
Join us for an action-packed rally from start to finish. You’ll have opportunity to hear Elena Nicholson, a shoe box recipient from the former Soviet Union share her life changing story. Meet gold medal winners from Team Pagosa, see a fashion show by Dress A Girl, have a chance to win door prizes and pick up boxes to take home and fill.
Collection week will be Nov.18-24 at the same location, where you can drop up your gifts of love from 1 to 3 p.m. each day.
Our little town has been making a difference in the lives of children around the world through Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, for the past 12 years.
Linda George, our drop-off team leader, is grateful for several business owners, churches, community clubs, and schools that have made red and green shoe boxes available to the community.
In just a few weeks you will see our shoe boxes displayed in stores and church lobbies around Pagosa. It will make your participation fun and easy. Simply fill a box for a boy or girl with items you often take for granted like a toothbrush, bar of soap, washcloth, pencil, crayons, small toys, stuffed animals and personal notes. Every gift you give will bring joy to a child who has never experienced opening a Christmas present.
Come be part of this year’s rally and learn how you can be part of Project 3000 and help us reach our goal this year. We love volunteers of all ages and would love to have your business or group participate to make this our best year yet.
