LPEA reps get an earful about smart meters


Several representatives of the La Plata Electric Association (LPEA), from both Durango and Pagosa Springs, conducted a meeting Tuesday evening in the Ross Aragon Community Center designed to solicit input and feedback from the co-op’s Archuleta County membership.

However, the group may have gotten more than they bargained for from the large and, at times, quite unruly crowd.

Mike Dreyspring, LPEA’s chief executive officer, began the meeting by introducing all of the co-op’s representatives and employees present in the room.
