From the Jan. 30, 1992, Pagosa SUN — Deputy Earl Gibbs rappelled down the Wolf Creek Pass overlook yesterday morning during a rescue operation involving a New Mexico truck driver. The driver and the truck’s cab continued about 350 feet down the overlook wall after the truck’s loaded trailer wedged between two outcroppings about 150 feet below the overlook parking lot.
