Due to the historical lack of moisture this winter, local concern about wildfires is seriously heightened.
You are cordially invited to join the League of Women Voters of Archuleta at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 27, at the Community United Methodist Church, 434 Lewis St. — entering the meetup room through the north side door — to hear wildfire specialist Bill Trimarco’s presentation about wildfire.
Trimarco represents Wildfire Adaptive Partnership, which is a local nonprofit organization with many facets. It is strongly dedicated to helping citizens understand wildfire risk and to teaching them how to reduce that risk.
Its goals are to help us protect our property, prepare for and plan for an emergency, and to lend support following a fire disaster.
