The Southwest Opioid Response District (SWORD) Council is accepting letters of interest (LOI) for its upcoming funding cycle.
Only organizations within Archuleta, Dolores, La Plata, Montezuma and San Juan counties are eligible to receive funds.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public health agencies, first responders and other organizations addressing opioid use disorder.
All projects must aim to serve persons with opioid use disorder, but may also include co-occurring substance use disorder or mental health conditions.
LOI submissions must align with specific approved uses to address identified service gaps and barriers. These identified service gaps and barriers include: peer recovery supports, recovery housing, transportation, reimburse for treatment services, mobile interventions/mobile medication assisted treatment (MAT), workforce development, justice-involved connections to treatment and pre-trial services, MAT and peers in jails, prevention, emergency department and MAT warm hand-offs, and crisis stabilization.
Projects that meet approved uses and SWORD Council priorities will be invited to submit full applications.
Letters of interest must be received by June 30. The grant application period is expected to begin in August, with funds anticipated to disburse before the end of the calendar year.
Only eligible proposals who have submitted an LOI will be invited to apply. The LOI submission form will be posted at www.region9.org/sword.
