The La Plata-Archuleta Cattlemen’s Association, in conjunction with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, will hold an informational meeting on the wolf for the agricultural community of Southwestern Colorado.
The meeting will be held on Monday, July 21, beginning at 6 p.m. in the La Plata County Fairgrounds Extension Building in Durango.
There will a brief update on Colorado’s wolf management plan and the department’s minimization program, with be a time for questions.
Recently, according to the wolf surveillance map, there has been a brief “tagged” wolf presence in La Plata and Archuleta counties. Considering the anticipated addition of four dens of wolf pups, there will no doubt be activity from the “untagged” wolf that will be untraceable other than by sight.
